Oops. Missed one.

Correction: there are 12 cities in 14 days. They are also playing the Wolf Trap Filene Theatre in Vienna, Virginia, which didn't come up through Ticketmaster. Shouldn't have missed that one, because at $25 to $42 a pop, it's among the best priced shows on the tour.

And for all my whining about the ticket prices earlier (and I wasn't whining, I was just surprised), I'm actually glad that Chris and Glenn can ask for adult prices at this stage in their careers.

Squeeze Do America

Because it would just take more effort for me to search if we've posted a thorough listing of Squeeze's U.S. dates that it would for me to just post it, here ya go. Eleven dates in two weeks. Whoa. Not a lot of time for groupies, but it occurred to me that it's a perfect amount of time for an enterprising person to put together a... concert video/album? 11 shows, 11 tracks? Come on, please? (You can tell that my coffee is just starting to kick in....)

Chris talks Squeeze on Kweevak

I just took a listen to podcaster Rockin' Rich Lynch's interview of Chris Difford on the monthly Kweevak Radio Show. They talk about the reunion tour, the VH1 ambush from a few years back and the future of Squeeze:

I kind of see it as I'm going to be in a Broadway play for a month. We've 26 shows to do. At the end, if it gets an extended run, great. If it doesn't I'm going back to my normal job of serving tables.

Good to hear from Chris again. Check it out.

Squeeze in Uncut & Mojo Magazine

READ ALL ABOUT IT!

It's all go on the Squeeze front, isn't it?!!!

Messrs Difford and Tilbrook feature in TWO magazines this month.

Firstly, Uncut Magazine examines the making of 'Up The Junction' in a lovely three-page spread.

And if that wasn't enough, Mojo Magazine devotes a rather glorious SIX pages to our favourite group.

Both Uncut and Mojo are UK magazines but subscriptions for overseas readers are available:

Glenn gives a peek under the curtain....

Whoo! Sorry haven't blogged in a while. Got a little catching up to do, and I hope that all of you who are able were able to get tickets to the summer U.S. tour.

I have no idea what this title I just wrote means, but I can't think of another way to describe the article in Billboard magazine. We learn that 1) the reunion tour really is a one-off tour, and 2) it's gonna be a proper show with lights and everything (the likes of which we perhaps saw in A Round and A Bout, maybe?) 3) they wanted Gilson on the tour but he's busy with Jools' band, 4) still no plans for U.S. release of "Essential Squeeze." There's more stuff I didn't mention, so take a peek at the article.
